Luxor temple at night







I didn’t enter the last site of my Luxor East bank tour: Temple of Luxor, as I can see the structures from the streets and I was temple-out at the end of the day. I rushed Luxor so I can catch the ferry from HURGHADA to SHARM on Sunday, thus sparing me from taking two flights or 16-hr bus ride (with many check points. After confirming the ferry time with HURGHADA hostel and getting my bus ticket, I went back to see the night views of Temple of Luxor as well the East bank walkway.

Egypt 埃及 -  Jordan 約旦   I booked my flight into Lebanon in late February 2020, and had been monitoring the regional safety. The protests since October 2019 continues in Lebanon, but life continues there as well.  The outbreak of  coronavirus caused Beirut  Hostel cancelled my reservation,   so I took advantage of American Airlines ' free cancellation flights via Hong Kong offer and  re-booked  flights into Egypt. Basically, I reversed my travel direction from hot areas into colder areas and skipped  Lebanon. The Israeli lockdown triggered a domino effect, so I cut short my tep and came back to USA. Cairo bazaar

I walked 6.5 km round trip to Khan el-Khalili, after walking the Egyptian Museum for three hours non-stop. It is a famous bazaar located in the historic center of Cairo, Egypt With many important masques. It is also home to many Egyptian artisans and workshops involved in the production of traditional crafts and souvenirs.

Dead Sea

We hired the hostel owner to transport us to Amman Beach resort @ Dead Sea, so we didn’t have to go to JETT Bus station and still paid the same price with more flexibility. The Dead Sea is the lowest point in the world at 394.6 m (1269 ft) below sea level. We floated in the Dead Sea, tried some theraputic mud (yet refused to pay 3JD to cover the whole body), soaked in the swimming pool, then dried in the sun before the dessert storm hit. I attached the before and during the sand storm photos at the end for you. The overcast weather was perfect to enjoy the water without sunburn.
