Buffet lunch on the West Bank of Luxor








In between the two tours in Luxor, our group had a lunch buffet on the West Bank with nice views of the hippies/nicer side of Luxor, which made me happy yet sleepy. No crocodile meat, but delicious fish, meatballs, chicken, etc. I chose the convenient yet unpleasant East bank of Luxor over West Bank of Luxor with nice vila and Airbnb, so I can walk to the train station and bus station and access to much cheaper tours. I only paid 155 LE ($10) for both East and West Bank tours, and $6 per night single room with bath (basic and use my own bed liner). Some people bike via sites (45-60 LE per bicycle per day, 5 LE per ferry, which added together about the same as my tour fee yet with freedom of time and stops, but biking under hot sun and no tour guides). Since I cannot feel relaxed when bombarded by touts, I may as well tour via Egypt quickly to move to Jordan.

Egypt 埃及 -  Jordan 約旦   I booked my flight into Lebanon in late February 2020, and had been monitoring the regional safety. Cairo bazaar

I walked 6.5 km round trip to Khan el-Khalili, after walking the Egyptian Museum for three hours non-stop. It is a famous bazaar located in the historic center of Cairo, Egypt With many important masques. It is also home to many Egyptian artisans and workshops involved in the production of traditional crafts and souvenirs.

Dead Sea

We hired the hostel owner to transport us to Amman Beach resort @ Dead Sea, so we didn’t have to go to JETT Bus station and still paid the same price with more flexibility. The Dead Sea is the lowest point in the world at 394.6 m (1269 ft) below sea level. We floated in the Dead Sea, tried some theraputic mud (yet refused to pay 3JD to cover the whole body), soaked in the swimming pool, then dried in the sun before the dessert storm hit. I attached the before and during the sand storm photos at the end for you. The overcast weather was perfect to enjoy the water without sunburn.
