Ferry and taxi into Dahab
I recruited two new members from the hostel to join us to Dahab (backpackers Red Sea paradise) and they caught up with the ferry at the last minute. It was a windy day yet the 500-people ferry ran as scheduled to ship us from Hurghada cross Red Sea to Sharm El Sheikh. We negotiated 70 LE taxi ride from the Marina to Sharm El Sheikh bus station (3.3 miles), then another taxi to Dahab so we didn’t have to wait one hour for the next bus. We checked in the only hostel has direct beach access, strolled via town, and then had dinner on a restaurant rooftop to enjoy the sunset. My foot-long tasty fresh calamari wrap only costs 80 LE ($5). A robust traveling yet fulfilling day!
